So, I’m looking for front and rear lights for commuting, to avoid the “I didn’t see you” defence. Can any commuterists make practical recommendations?

    Thanks 🙂

Moon Xpower + shield combo. Not cheap, but very bright 🙂

Sorry mate, lights won’t help with that!

These cheap eBay lights are great flashers (front ones). Make all the reflective street signs pulse brightly as you approach.

£85 on lights these days? Not necessary. Not necessary at all.

    £4

    £20

= about £30 inc P&P for mucho brightness. (Or get 3 of the planet x lights and put em all over your back!)

I have a rear of one of these: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/lezyne/zecto-drive-front-light-ec052666

It would fit your bill. It’s bright enough that I have a concern I may look closer to a following car than I am, ending up sideswiped in a misjudged overtake.
