Starting to investigate a new fork for the Bow-ti... needs to be 80/100mm travel and V-brake compatible. Would like a new fork as I'm assuming the performance of an older SID or the like wouldn't be a patch on a 2010 variant? all suggestions welcomed, cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

I think Magura are still pretty good on that sort of thing for their stuff?

Nope, Durins etc are all disc specific I believe.

A new fork will slacken the head angle and make it ride like even more of a dog! Try and find a NOS/VGC SID I reckon.

isn't 80mm or 100mm still the same regardless of year? or am I missing something? probably ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Looking at Rockshox, they do the SID race with optional v-brake lowers... the Menja appears to have it as an option as well?

what makes you say it'll be a dog, have you ridden one? not having a go, just curious ๐Ÿ™‚

I think it's axle-to-crown length you need to focus on as much as travel though.
