They keep saying it’s dry, but that looks like plenty of damp in some of the corners.

Richie Porte a liability on the descents.

**** sake, reminds me of the descent of the olympics this, its so risky with everyone racing, just dangerous especially with patchy wet roads, hate seeing this

hitting dan martin might have saved porte’s life there, used him as a crash barrier and surely took out the blunt force of hitting the rocks 👿

Not a good spot to get Richie away in a helicopter, good luck to him.

    Keep your hair on!

It’s been said before, the last few races he’s done he’s looked dodge. Hopefully he’s not hurt himself too badly (although it just showed him getting carried off on a stretcher…..)

Never good for anyone to have a crash but that looked particularly bad for Porte. Hope it’s nothing to bad.

Martin looks like he’s found some good company about a minute down.

Hope Porte is ok that looked shocking and second the big bits of damp observation.

well having watched it a few times looks more like he got tight and slid a little or lost traction

Hope he is OK, saw him sat up before the medics arrives so hopefully a lot of precautions. A real shame for the race as he did look equal to Froome there and such a nice bloke, I would think Froome’s first question on the finish is where and how his good mate is.
We just lost 2 great riders from the tour today.

The really shouldn’t have done that until they were sure. Poor guy.

Froome doesn’t need a team when everyone else rides for him. 😉

Richie Portes crash was proper nasty though. Hope he didn’t do himself too much damage.

So froome going to get a sagan type penalty for pushing Aru?

Clutching at straws. Given what happened earlier he could have punched Aru in the head and (justifiably) got away with it.

Of course he won’t get a penalty but it looked pretty deliberate

Lemond seemed to think Aru did nothing wrong…

So updates say Porte is conscious, speaking and remembers it all, some good news there

Now that was a fantastic race.

Waiting to see the highlights and comments after that race and ITV4 have just had 4 minutes of the programme between the adverts, that is taking the mick. We saw the standings and a slow mo of the Porte crash and then it was back to another break!

That’s because (I think) they wanted to show everything from the business end of the last climb to the finish uninterrupted.

and when the footage of Froome on the phone on the trainer came up this is what he was typing

Demare has 30km to do in forty minutes to not get cut, likely going to take half of fdj out with him

I’m going for “ok” meaning “not dead” especially given that BMC were still trying to find out where he was not long ago!

    Blimey! What happened to him?
