Hi everyone

Sicne I was boy I always wanted to build my own bike.
So I started…..

I ride allmountain/enduro from 15, realy love downhills, prefer as much rear suspention as its possible,
but the olny thing is. I wanna keep it light. like getting to the top of the hill on bike. cruisin around and the
get downhill like MAD MAX Love bikes they are jumpy, playful fun mini DH….

So will see how Titus going to be

Bought a very nice frame Titus Elguapo 2008, looks like new…

I had to quickly build to make a test ride…..

SETUP:

frame – Titus el guapo 2008 size M
Hubs – Hopes pro II
Rims – ZTR Crest – tubeless
Tires – Schwalbe Rocket Ron
Fork – Rock Shox SID double crown 1,65 kg
Headset – YST G-force
Handle bars – EXU /czech company/
Stemp – Point
Brakes – Shimano deore 2014
Shifters – Sram XO – 7 speed
Bottom bracket- old shit
Crank – old Shimano Deore
Cassete – Sram 12-36
Seat post – Aerozine XP1.0 (light about 210g)
Pedals – Wellgo
Front derailleur – Shimano Deore XT 771 – triple
Rear mech – SRam X7 – old (7-8 speed)
Chain – shimano old one
Rear shock – Fox Float RP 23

Crank – Shimano deore 2014 – not sure if 3 or 2 ring….

ANd finaly the most important…
Im sick so I couldnt test as I wanted…
So I took short ride in the city

RIDE:

Bike is mall for me “M” need “L”, I could use longer stemp, but thats going to be more xc bike….
I need more enduro….
Bike is light, respond, stiff, jumpy etc….

Need to get worm the new brakes….put there a FOX 36…and will see…

Honestly I thought the rear suspension will more active, more enduro….
Maybe in downhill section its going to be just right…..

I test rode a Lapierre Spicy, Trek Remedy – and I felt much more rear travel in back…like there was more travel,
but there is not…
OK Lapierre has 1 cm more in back, Remedy is the same….

I have to setup the rear shock, maybe – change for something other….
Friend of mine has Cane Creek – and its lot better (he says)

I need the help with Crank guys…anyone could help me psl ?

Consider 2 or 3 ring
have 12-36 cassete

But: In downhill section Im sure that I use biggest ring 42, if I will use just 2 ring, I can use 40/28…

Im afraid abou that 28 ? Is it going to be so much…? Never had 12-36 in back, so I dont know

Or I can use classic 3 ring 42-32-22…

2day another test ride in the city. Bike is fun, stable, corny, jumpy etc…But definitely feels like 4 inch Bike not 6.

As I said before, havent tested in the mountain yet. But If I compare to Trek Remedy or Lapierre Spicy, feels like its 4 inch XC trail bike then remedy/spicy real enduro bike with plenty of rear travel…

I wish I was wrong….its to soon.

I really love to riding up hills but if Im there I need real machine to enjoy the ride downhill.
Wondering If this bike can handle long downhills on ALPs ..

I had old GT LTS and the rear travel doesnt seems to be huge difference.

OK lets wait for real teren

i have a new EG (v3) and love it, it goes down hills really well, mines teamed up with a CCDBa and a 160mm TALAS fork….

it doens’t climb half as well as my 100mm 29er HT though 🙄

In terms of 4 inch travel that might because that is a 4 inch travel fork..

That fork is a SID XL only 100mm travel? An AC length of 475…

I think the 2008 was meant to have a 160 or 170 Rock Shox which would be an AC of 545 or 555.

I have the exact same frame with RP23 on the back. Magura Wotan 160mm on the front and I certainly have no feeling of “lacking travel”!! The head angles on those are not as slack perhaps as some of the other bikes you mention?

Yeah those 2008 were built in USA yet.
SID has just 100mm, but will be replaced by FOX 36 TALAS.

Not with a 100mm fork it isn’t. Nothing about the way you think it rides means anything until you put a proper fork on it.

Dual crown Sids? You don’t see those very often! 😀

my mistake – I’d always gone on this review which suggested 68 head angle. Good solid bikes nonetheless, bought mine off here – had been watching it not sell for a while before I cobbled enough together to buy it!
