Nope just trying to position themselves as a more serious bike retail by notionally stocking a top end aspirational bike or two.

Looks like a top end bike to me, plus it’s a Boardman not a Halfords Bike. You can’t buy that bike at Halfords

Looks like a top-end TT bike with spec to match. £7k is about par for the course.

They want to cater for the rich MAMIL market – seems a reasonable plan.

Nothing wrong with the price. Seems about right to me.

Thought all the Halfords bashing died down long ago?

Boardman “Elite series” bikes won’t be sold in Halfords.

£7k is about right for that, in fact it’s quite reasonable given the kit that’s on it.

Boardman is now being sold through a range of IBDs as well, the top end kit won’t be at Halfords.

ilovemygears i dont think Halfords will be stocking them, i also dont think anyone in the market for one would buy from Halfords.

These Boardman bikes really are exeptional value for money.

Im so glad im not a bike snob so i can buy one when i fancy a new road bike, i pity all those who wont be seen dead on one.

    duuuurrrr.

    Halfords stock the performance range.

For Elite range you need to go direct to Boardman (wiggle) or an LBS stockist like my local, Echelon.

The Performance Series* of Boardman Bikes are available exclusively in over 200 Halfords stores throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland and available online at:

The Elite Series* of Boardman Bikes are available in the UK through selected IBD’s.
