most people, in my opinion, cant transfer straight from flats to spd so why not have both? in my opinion i prefer both even though i'm so used to riding clipped in when i'm unclipped feels wrong, in my opinion.

Hmm maybe, though not having that safety net will make you learn much quicker ..

Ive got some shimano M324 spd/flat pedals you can have if you are unsure about clipless ones.
SPD one side flat, pedal on the otherside
    They are like new.
let me know and i can bring them along to the next outing.

Remember when planning this route we need to have access for Skiprat to follow in the support van with your large screwdriver.

Do you honestly think that thing will fit in my van????? Will need to leave the back door open and put a flag on the end!!! 😉

Has anyone mentioned a start time, can we do it in the morning so those of us dragging SO's behind us can get some afternoon delight in at the hotel afterwards?

erm, average speed of about 6 mph. With cake. And falling off. And looking at nice views.

I like these rides to be inclusive. No racing off and that kind of thing

DenDennis anyone is welcome. Its an anti-clique IMO, join in, drop out and rejoin whenever at any date in the future. You don't have to say 'sorry I cant make it'- if you can great. If not- theres always the future.

Hello Peaks folks – am planning on coming down to Sheffield for Easter weekend and riding Jacobs ladder (from Edale, to Mam Tor & Castleton) o Friday, followed by Cut Gate & various possible Ladybower loop extensions on Saturday. I will post something up separately in the next day or two but thought I'd post it where your attention is first.

If anyone fancies any of that let me know. Cheers.
