Anyone got one? Opinions, even if you haven’t? As compared to other bikes in the sub-£3k good-at-descending-but-still-needs-to-ride-to-the-trails category?

I had a look at one in the Spec concept store – and a status 140. Looks decent for a big (non direct sales) brand for the money tbh.

Spec isn’t bad – think a 36 with the grip damper (so better then moco / worse than a charger or grip 2) and a float x performance shock is ok.

NX is serviceable – would imagine the bike is fairly heavy. But it’s really in that long travel trail / enduro lite sort of area so you’d hope it would be robust.

Not seen a single one out on the trail / not seen many reviews – I fancied the 140 frame but they don’t sell it frame only.

The head angle looks a bit too slack. I don’t do bike parks, might be a bit cumbersome in the natural singletrack.

Don’t just assume that’s 100% the case. I thought the 63.6 degree headangle might make my Sentinel a handful to get into corners (plus it’s my first 29er and longer travel than my last bike) but it’s not. I love the bike to bits.
