Hey , I got a silly email. Didn’t make no sense with a link. Didn’t open it up, but did a goggle of the email address.
All the search results point it to a stw member. Cant think of any reason for this.
Any ideas, is the stw database compromised or have they just too much time on their hands?

I’m getting a couple too. The user is someone I sold some forks to about 3 yrs ago. I’ve had two or three emails from him over the last week which are complete garbage. I haven’t opened the links either. I’ve tried emailing him but got no reply.

It’d be interesting to know if its the same address. My email is in my profile.

I’ve just checked my emails and he has responded last night to confirm that he’s been hacked.

If anyone gets a dodgy email from proflexforever on here I suggest you delete it straight away.

Their account has probably been hacked. I know of 3 people it has happened to, one of whom is a school teacher. Everyone in her address book, which included colleagues and management all received emails which offered Viagra (or something similar) and sex toys. She was quite embarrassed to say the least.

I had spam email with links from same user too. Bought some brakes from them a while back, so would be in their address book. Just deleted the email.

Does she not normally sell direct to the public ?

Malware can very often exhibit this sort of behaviour. I’d wager they’ve been infected rather than “hacked”.

(And of course, it’s trivial to make email appear to have come from someone else, so there’s no guarantee that the ‘sender’ is actually at fault.)

    Could be related….?

A contentious subject, however, around here….
