My stock wheels on my specialized tricross are dead - the alloy nipples have started to burst through corrosion and the rear hub requires new cones (they dont seem to fit any of my spares lying about)

so 32 spoke open pros dt DB spokes and a what hub ? ive had surly fixed in the past - they were pretty solid but the propriatory bearings puts me off using them again.

needs to be well sealed and take abuse - used as a commuter on all terrains with a heavy pannier on.

Goldtec any good ? any of the halo hubs worth a look , would like cartridge bearings as its my daily commuter and gets very little maintainance !
any ideas.

I have Halo Aerorage wheels on my fixie commuter. I had literally no problems with and it was fairly well sealed. Note the best however but should be up to commuting in my opinion.

Obviously getting the Aerorage/track wheelset might not be your best bet btu the hub is solid.
