What’s with all the bottle cages!!
Most of us are not so limited in our thinking as to restrict our CX bikes to CX racing only. CX bikes are fantastic for loads of the type of riding that we have locally all over the UK, much more so than mtb trails which typically are far more limited.
They’re some I bought from a chap called Paul off of here. Hope pro 2’s on some unknown carbon tub rim – seem quite light so we’ll see how strong they are.
More pics to follow, its a poverty build at the moment until the Di2 ultegra turns up for my Storck and I can move the bits from that onto this.
some nice bikes on here 🙂 here’s mine, just built up and had one lap of hamsterley red and a 75 mile road ride from newcastle to penrith on it. so far it’s been spot on, much comfier than my old road bike and a hell of a lot lighter although not as comfy/smooth a ride than my cross check
You know much of the history/age of the bike? Trying to pin an age on it but struggling. Got a 1″ headtube so thinking quite old?
Tried to get some of the 2010 stickers but they didn’t have any so went retro. Think they were also reluctant to give me stickers for a bike I didn’t own in case I was trying to fake a more expensive bike.
How long is a piece of string? Depends upon type of rim, how much use, what brakepads used, how clumsy rider is etc etc.. Mine are 2 seasons old and still as new really (Hope RS3 5.0)
That’s good. come to think of it I do tend to race and train om one set and a training ride will be three times longer than a race. So I’m probably getting four seasons worth in one go?
