Does anyone have or know where I can get a spacer/grommet/shim for a Scott twinloc remote?
Changing the grips means the twinloc loses the end of the syncros grip.
I can see Westbrook Cycles list them but out of stock…

Not sure if I’m understanding correct. But in my genius I changed to a different lock on grip (DMR death grip) and the twinlock fitted onto that grip to act as a collar ok.
Probably depends what grip you’re using.

As an alternative, hacksaw the end off your syncros grip where the twinloc collar goes and use that as a ‘spacer’ between twinloc and bar.

    Fair point Bri-72.
I’m actually going for Deathgrips so that’s good to hear.
I was reluctant to chop up the old grips as they pretty much new, so sounds like a result allround.
    Much appreciated.

That’s the one, but out of stock.
Although it seems I potentially wont need one anyway.

I just cut the collar off the old Scott lock on grips.

Sorry to hijack but anyone know why it needs a shim in the first place – why isn’t it just suitable for regular bar width (22.2)?

It uses the grip, so in effect is the grip lock on collar as well.
It means the grip and lever take up less space.
The shim is supplied with the bike so if you change to non compatible grips it can still be mounted.
    I can’t find mine though.

    Ah right, cheers
