    I was thinking it might be a good idea to save some weight and put it back again for more adventurous rides. Any idea on the size and stroke I would need?

    Is it right that the new style Alpine is rather like the new style Alpine in terms of geometry etc?

    200 X 57 GIVES APPROX 160MM TRAVEL, you can adjust the shock mount to give almost 'Alpine' geometry.

    Why not take opp to go for shorter travel? Get a 190x50mm airshock and the other shock slider from Orange £30 and run 140mm rear to give you complete other option?
