    it comes out the drive side right? hope its knackered cos if it wasnt it is now since i chewed up the thread trying to get the non drive side lock nut off ( not the lock nut dont worry) but you do need to take the lock nut off??? Arghh

    Axle comes out from the drive side, you need to remove the rubber dust cover on the other side and use a 15 & 17mm cone spanner to undo the locknut from the cone and spacers. I'm guessing you've been trying to hold the axle to undo the locknut, right?

    Yes was trying to hold the axle, however turns out the axle was bent and the cone nut was broke (sheared off into two pieces) need to order a new one which as with all parts seem expensive for what they are.

    buy a whole hub if other bits are on the way out and fit everything into the old shell. all you will have left thats old is the non driveside bearing surface.. that might be fine anyway.
