ideally I want one (well actually 2) that can sit in the charging stand at the same time. Not even sure there is a set of 2 that come with a dual charging base?

Was looking at this but still wasn't sure you could charge both at the same time?

Why do you want to be able to charge 2 at the same time in the same base?

They are designed that more than one person uses the same powered bit, just with a brush head each. Will save a bit of money that way as well.

I would rather have my own powered bit - ie 2 complete units. But why do you need to charge both at the same time? It takes a few hours to charge and they last for weeks. I think I charge my sonicare every 3 weeks to a month.

Just get the basic Braun ones in term of function, certainly the only one that has been recommended to me by a number of dentists.

As above re dual base, and not sure why you would ever need to charge both at once.

The powered bits become minging and get covered in the other peoples saliva/lunch/toothpaste and gunk. Even though I would be sharing with the wife, I would still prefer to have my own charging bit.

I guess I was thinking you could have both sat out constantly on charge, but I guess thats not too environmentally friendly like leaving your mobile on charge?

Wash it?

(Even if you have your own it needs a rinse after you use it anyway as otherwise the bathroom shelf is just a pool of your saliva/lunch/toothpaste)

Oral usage here for both of us. Bit 'spensif at £100 but well worth it.

Clean teeth needed when one sup's enough espresso to fill a small oil tanker.

I'd get whichever Oral B was on offer at the moment and swap bits.

Far as I can see, there's little difference between one at £20 and one at £100 other than things like LCD displays and timers and other things. If you need an LCD display on a toothbrush, you need to have a word with yourself. (-:

All the various clever bits are all interchangeable, far as I can tell, so you can put the 3D Mega Ultra Horatio Super bits on the basic unit.

That. In fact that's a general rule for lots of stuff

I'm the first one to agree, spending any more than £5.00 on a toothbrush is outlandish behaviour and should be met with obstinate consternation and ridicule, however in ones defence MrsBouy bought them. Despite my protestations, she won the argument.
We also use poncy toothpaste that comes out of specifically pressured automatic tubes no less. I buy "squeezy tubes" these get pushed to the back of the cupboard, she uses poncypaste*

*I've nicknamed it that.
