  • Recommend me a decent van tyre shop in Halifax/Hudds area?

I’m looking to replace all 4 tyres on our campervan/motorhome. It’s a panel van conversion and can fit either heavy load rated van tyres or motorhome specific tyres  (dual vehicle type approval). The place we normally get car tyres from hasn’t got a big ramp for vans so we need to shop elsewhere.

    Any recommendations?

Our Sprinter is in at Dennisons in Brighouse for its mot and is having a couple of tyres. Nice people but very busy at the moment.

We use the local ATS for ours. Always managed to find an offer with them for Michelin Crossclimates

Ask the usual place to break out the big trolley jack? You don’t actually need a post lift to remove and replace wheels.

@tthew – well yes but another limiting factor is their running door is only 2.4m high

we’ve currently got Hankook Vantra LT, what tyres do you guys use?

Can’t help you with a fitter, but I’ve gone for these all-seasons because they make a diddy 14″ https://www.maxxis.com/uk/tyre/vansmart-as-al2/
My indy garage fit tyres and are no more expensive than online surprisingly
PS if you want the load index, click “show label”
OEM was Goodyear GT3 but the Maxxis have a better EU wet rating and are £10 cheaper per tyre

If you want my other choices before settling on Maxxis please ask

Surely they’ll use a jack where they can’t use a ramp

Already suggested, and responded to scuttler.

What van has diddy 14″ wheels timba? Maxxis all seasons are pretty decent though, you’re right. Had a few of these myself.

Target Tyres in Sowerby Bridge may be able to help.

They did our van, albeit a wee 3t.

Did both fronts using trolley jacks as their bays were full.

Nissan NV200, 14″ and 4-bolts. The later eNV200 EV went up to 15″ and 5-bolt

I’ll let you know when we eventually get a proper winter!
