isnt it time we had some sort of rating system on STW for buying and selling?

Why not just add a feedback section on a member’s profile: would it be such a hard thing to code?
Its not ebay so you cant link a ‘sale’ to a bit of feedback so it would have to be an open system and there are enough arguments on here already (even in this thread) which could lead to inappropriate ‘feedback’ being left for one or more posters. A bit like the ‘tags’ issue a while back.

Yes, it wouldn’t be perfect but better thsn nothing, or not?

Out of interest, how many of you have donated towards the running of the classifieds, having either bought or sold what you consider to have been a good deal? I don’t know the answer, but i’m guessing very, very few. There is no incentive on the part of the owners to implement any form of regulation- and in turn, responsibility- for a classifieds service that gives them little more than grief and a minimal increase in traffic.

Give this a try people. Punch this scums email address into google, and look at how many sites he’s been on and banned from for asking for money. He tried it on with ps3 users, then pinkbike, here. 1 can only wonder what he’s like on eBay.
