I fear this could be a numpty question, but with a regular Shimano indexed left hand shifter, how do you set it up to work (indexed) with a double rather than triple chainring? There must be loads of people using double+bash as well as the new Middleburn / FSA etc 29/44 setups, but how do I do it? It was bothering me on my ride this morning – couldn’t get my head round it… 😕

    Cheers in advance (as ever).

I just set the limit stops on the derailluer so it can only cover 2 rings, im sure theres other ways to do it.

Just as The Doog says, dead simple and can be easily reverted if you go back to three chainrings.

That’s cool – thanks. I’d hoped it might be something as simple / obvious as that…!
