I’m not sure about this one. I’ve never really tried ‘still life’ (pun intended)but the boys had already been making something like a collage out of leaves, twigs, conkers and pine cones when the cat brought the mouse in and gave it a mortal mauling. I’d been looking at the kid’s collage and thinking the colours were intersting but didn’t feel compelled to try and make an image out of it. That the potential to add a dead mouse motivated me should probably worry me more than it does.
