We have a SBS 2003 server at work. Whilst using Outlook web access to view my Exchange Profile it suddendly (between log-ins) seems to have developed 2 Calendar, Contact, Task, Journal and Notes folders although it seems to be working okay.

Has anyone seen this before and does it indicate anything? I don’t understand servers and exchange so don’t want to fiddle.

Have you reached your memory quota? Feels like exchange has created a new primary folder for each item because the original was full.

No I don’t think so, there’s not a great deal in the mailbox and the duplicate folders just seem to have appeared between viewing.

    — Edit —

Simply deleting them in Outlook seems to do the trick except that in Outlook Web Access the default folders are now named Contacts1 etc. Perhaps it’s just one of those things.

Exchange now thinks the new folders are the primary ones. Not a lot you can do now.

Well, I don’t know quite what happened to cause the duplicate folders (it was Contacts, Journal, Notes, Tasks but not Inbox or Sent Items or any of the additional Storage folders I’d added) but Oulook would only present a delete option for one of the folders (you can’t delete the Primary Folders and these were the ones with the correct Oulook icons) so that was what. It all seems to be working though.
