Got a new one, but she's not ready for the cameras yet, still need to swap a few bits around. It's going to be very shiny.

Ha! No! In the absence of a proper photo, I'll post a manufacturers one:

    One of these…

    Gonna be sub-20lbs hopefully!

Iamsam – had to get some longer chainring bolts from a mate's spares box and it was a bit of a PITA to fit.

The tyre is a Spesh Eskar 2Bliss – came on my Pitch.

Njee20 – that'll be v nice, look forward to seeing your pics once it's built up. It'll be better than you're Epic simply because the Trek has got proper forks and no Brain! 😉

If the top of the range one (£5k+) weighs 22lbs how on earth will you get it down below 20lbs though??!!

It is the top of the range one, I've not actually weighed it yet, but the wheels/tyres are heavy, I'm changing them, along with the stem, seat mast, saddle, cables. I suspect it may be <22lbs anyway.

ok, its not new, but we have been together a while now, i would get bad karma if she was to go… so she got a new group, wheels and fork 😀

Nick you have too much disposable income.

Nope, I have a credit card with too high a limit, a shop who are very amenable to supporting my whims and a brand new warranty Epic frame to sell to fund it! 🙂

I bought a nice bike in about 2004, then I've just sold it each year to fund the next one! I've not lost money on a bike sale in at least 4 years! That's maybe not great.

Ok….here's a trio all new or rebuilt in the last month (rubbish phone pics soz)

Turner 5 Spot (repainted & rebuilt)

Sanderson Soloist (cycle to work scheme)

Road bike (mostly from the spares pile)

are you really not going to buy any bikes for a year? i know you are tying to cut back on being a serial bike swapper but what am i going to look at for the next year? could you not have a self enforced 2 week 'cooling off' period bwtween seeing something you want and stumping up the cash?

Yes! It's very orange. My eyes hurt from staring at it.

i like the new on one colours but that orange is remarkably similar to the 89 quid apollo i used ot try and put customers off buying when i used to be saturday boy at halfords.

I have just finished building this up:

It started as a standard Scale 35, and I seem to have swapped most of the bits over. It still needs new saddle, stem & bars. I am sure it is still heavier than njee20's new one!

Nice bike Grumm! Have you ridden it much yet? Need a shorter stem though surely? 😉

Cheers Adam. I built it up sort of for Emilie and sort of as a pissing about on jumps etc bike for me. Not really ridden it yet though due to being ill for about 2 months – surprised you haven't seen me whining about it. 😉

Mebbe does need a shorter stem, but that's all I've got for now.

I have an itch which has been scratched but it won't be built till Saturday night.

The beer is in the fridge, pizza menu's by the phone, Spotify playlist is sorted and the tool box has been checked to ensure everything is present and correct……… can't wait 😀 😀 😀

Perhaps my bikes should have gender realignment?

    They wouldn't know, would they?

But I would have to give them a different name …

So … what are the "she" bikes called?

    I've only ever had 2 'she' bikes . . . Clementine and Pandora 😉

    Oh, and I don't have a new bike so I'll just go . . .

Perhaps I should ride my new bike during the day… but here it is anyway:

Well it was perhaps more of a new bike justification strategy – orange is her favourite colour. She will get to ride it sometimes though. 🙂
