On my Spesh Diverge I have a Tiagra chainset, which is visually challenging. It spoils a nice bike!

Can I ditch the plastic shield thingy

Any funky alternatives? not keen on a single set up.

Maybe Tiagra chainset is an oxymoron?

The new Tiagra (4700 series) copies the Ultegra and 105 4 arm style. Looks 100% better than the old 4600 version which would be enough to be put me off any bike where the manufacturer had chosen mistakenly to spec it.

I want an an older look, 5 arm clean chainring etc look.
Like this, but will it fit the BB that is on there already, its quite specific to Spesh

the bb is just a normal shimano fitment, it is a weird pressfit arrangment but in terms of chainsets it is the same as a threaded road one.

Yep, I noticed that, the frames the smartweld one, so a bit different.
Can it just slot in and whats the torq cup thing?
