I did totally miss read this as:

half the frame has been to…

I was wondering why you weren’t more concerned about the other half of the frame!! Haha!

    Good luck

    Fingers crossed!
Rode mine at the weekend with its new carbon (conventional shape) bars and it’s sorted out the hand issue. It’s proving a great bike

Really hope Fairlight don’t start to suffer in the same manner as Bowman with supply chain issues, as I’m really tempted by a Strael too. Must be an absolute nightmare for smaller manufacturers.

Am sure they are having loads of pain, but they seem to be getting the new parts and shipping them – I guess they’re big enough relative to Bowman to be getting looked after. Mine was frame only, was delayed a month compared to original date, but I got upgraded to the 2.5 a long the way so I can’t complain too much. Ordered in June…. the delivery hassle has been an extra week or so, but i’s been the most frustrating bit.

Ok, so it’s new bike day, and as far as I can tell, all straight and undamaged. Phew.

Just need to find time to build it – my Vulture which is donating a lot of parts is filthy, so need to brave the cold and wash it, then dismantle

Got it mostly built, although I discovered that I wasn’t given any bolts to mount the front brake… seems Fairlight don’t include them, and neither do SRAM, although both included bolts for the rear. Have stuck in a couple of silver dome head bolts I found, hopefully do the trick. I’m bar tape, brake hose shorten/route/bleed and a chopped steerer away from done

Speedy work. I don’t think I’ve ever received bolts with a frame or fork

Would normally come with the brake, though… and they did with the rear brake, just not the front.

Really taken with the top tube, it’s incredibly thin.

Yes the tube shapes are lovely. It’s interesting to compare it against @ahsat s Niner RLT also 853
