    makes everything a real slog

slid off and squashed my left conker on the cross bar

can hear it slowly grinding away my drivetrain

need to spend another half hour washing everything when you get back

    sticky, slidy, horrible

Great fun though and I find that it really helps your handling skills for all seasons, hence why the brits are so good at downhill, not least the current world champ. I’m looking forward to it…

doesnt help matters/ the ground when you see about 10x moto x’ers pounds down an all ready muddy path for about 2 miles, then just as you pass those morons, you see another 3x quad bikes about to oblitorate it even more 🙁 🙁

needless to say the track was an absolute mess, and bloody filthy, felt really sorry for the walkers that were just about to attempt to walk over it…

now that i can see why walkers would get pissed off, these idiots were ploughing through, revving, wheel spinning everyway imaginable of destroying the track they were on 🙁 🙁 its only gonna get worse and they are gonna ride regardless 🙁

Don’t mind a little splattering of mud, just so long as its not foot deep Mendip mud, destroyer of bottom brackets and bank accounts 😥

A nice 3-4 inches is fine. The equivalent of powder to skiing…

    I like it

Just a little smattering of mud on the Mendips today. Made some corners interesting.

    😯

You’re left conker is slowly grinding away your drivetrain??

That’s some properly hardened abrasive left conker you’ve got there. You might want to get it looked at by a professional. 😐

Darn Sarf it’s still bone dry. Spend £20 on a pair of Schwalbe 26 inch cyclo cross tyres from Planet X and you will be laughing.Slice through all the thick stuff a treat. Wouldn’t ride anywhere rocky on them though.

What is this thing called mud. Not be sighted down south for a long time. Kept getting told that as autumn is coming it will reappear – but still waiting for autum.
