Has anyone had experience using the 'man with a van' courier services? I want to have a couple of large items moved from Edinburgh to Oxfordshire.
I realise delivery times can be slow (which is fine), but what else should I look out for?

Could you stick it on a pallet? Someone like www.speedshift.co.uk should be able to do it reasonably sensible priced.

I may be able to assist if not too time critical and you want a bespoke service. van@cosybike.co.uk

That speedshift service would have been perfect, but the seller of the items is unable/unwilling to arrange a pallet.

druid, that would cost just as much as DHL!

cbike, I've sent you an email with the specific details.

If clark isn't right, I'm just south of Edinburgh now and will be driving back to Aylesbury in a week - with an empty horsebox ๐Ÿ™‚
