As per the title built an 456 summer season and want a Lower ISCG chain device to work with SLX double and bash any suggestions if it matters running 9 speed slx at the back

Many thanks

Blackspire Stinger. If I didn't have a gamut I'd have got one. I bent the bloody thing on the second ride I had it.

Second the Blackspire Stinger. Had to do a bit of grinding to fit it on one bike, but it went on the other bike with no problems and works perfectly.

Stinger works, but the roller is a bit kak (only one bearing) and they bend failey easily.

E13 DRS is better, but MUCH more expensive.

I've got to ask why (you think) you need one?
I've got a summer season with SLX double and bash. Never dropped the chain yet.
Was sort of tempted to put a chain guide on just cos the tabs are there but it just seems like extra weight and faff for no benefit.
Medium cage R mech seems to prevent chain slap.
Perhaps I'm not gnarly enough as I rarely drop my chain on any bike...

depends on what type of terrain you ride. The weight is minimal, if it means saving your chain from falling off mid-descent.

i want to get one and will prob get a stiner as other alternatives are alot more expensive.

don't often drop the chain but it's annoying enough when it happens.

also when trying silly tricks (riding backwads) the chain has a tendency to jump off.

The E13 DS works well with SLX double and bash too (though I'm using an E13 supercharger instead of Shimano bash).

Mine came on my bike. Chain never fell off, but one of the plastic plates on the chainguide did break and I had to order a new bit for about £7).

I use a Stinger, excellent bit of kit and well worth £20. Never dropped my chain since including during downhill shananigans.

I'll have to try harder to lose my chain then!
