I'm looking for a freebie drawing package to do some simple scale drawings of a house, no more detail than outline and position of doors and windows - but it does need to be a scale drawing. Can anybody suggest some mac compatible software?
Google sketchup?
If it's a one-off, omnigraffle is good and 30day demo is free IIRC.
thank you!
sketchup if you can be bothered to learn how to use it properly (I couldnt).
I just used powerpoint and set the page size to the right order of magnitude for the scale I wanted to use.
Check with planning dept/archive. They may have the plans there from new build, they did with mine and it's 110 years old.
Omnigraffle is very good.
I used it for some scale drawings for a building warrant enquiry recently.
InkScape is a free drawing package which would also do it.
