As a Threadlock?

I use nail polish.

I got one of their ones that's like a Pritt stick recently - a lot easier to use than the liquid ones - I'd recommend it.

Get yourself down Halfords and get the blue capped lipstick thread lock stuff.
Lasts ages and easy to use. Great for disk nuts and frame bolts. Anything you do not want to rattle loose.

Loctite 248 is the lipstick type one. They don't actually make 248 it's just got their name on it.

Depends on the size of the bolt and whether you want to undo it again but I find 222 works well for everything on the bike.

Unless you are going to scrupulously clean all threads you'll want one that is OK with some contamination (few are), and medium strength. I give you Loctite 243...I get mine off eBay.

222 is low strength, for fasteners up to 6mm and has a break-away strength of 6Nm

243 is medium strength, for fasteners 6-20mm with a break away strength of 26Nm
243 can handle some oil contamination

248 has a break away of 17Nm on an M10 bolt and is suitable up to M50. Slap bang in the middle of the 222 and 243.

The "pritt stick" application makes it soooo much easier too. Neatness is especially important where there is plastic or composite parts around as thread lock de-gasses solvents when it cures which can degrade the polymers.
