I suspect you wouldn’t put the ones I’ve got on your new frame, but the latest version of their CX Disc 700c hoops are mighty fine. Really well finished, light, stiff, easy on the eye. What’s not to like?! That’s probably not much help, but if it’s an indication across the range… 😉

I hope you don’t mind me tagging my question onto your thread?

I have been considering the Kinesis Maxlight IV 29″ wheels, they received a very good review from What Mountain Bike but I was hoping someone may have some real world experience of these wheels?

Apologies for jumping on your thread daftvader.

If the cx wheels are ok then likely the whole range should be good. Sundaytrucker, No worries… hope we get an answer!

Thanks for posting peasant. It doesn’t seem like Kinesis wheels are overly popular. I have been searching the web for some reviews and there is hardly anything about. Decision to gamble on the Maxlights or go with the more commonly used Hope Pro2 and Stans ArchEx combo.

Thanks daftvader for letting me tag along. Good luck on getting the info you require.

i’ve got some, i like them a lot light, strong, wide enough rim, not too spendy look good with the stickers removed too. I imagine hope might be easier to service/get spares for when required, but they come with adaptors for pretty much every set up. too early for long term durability comments!

I got them specced as standard on my Ti Tripster ATR, everything else on the bike has been swapped out for upgraded components but the wheels remain and currently running tubeless using gorilla tape and stans juice on clement tyres – for the price/weight of them i’d have to spend 3x the cost for an insignificant gram saving so a big thumbs up from me.

Thanks for the replys… I really like the fact that the graphics are so understated. Thanks for the info, looks like I may have to just order a set
