As above really, thinking of riding there tomorrow but don't fancy winching up to the top of Macc forest and having to ride the field at the side again.
Still a fair bit of ice last time I was up there but it is passable
This was Charity (looking northwards from just below the brow) on Thursday early evening...

I took to the field to get down - the lane was pretty tough going in places, to be honest, but walkable / draggable.
The weird thing was I had baggies, a thin Baa Baa and a gilet on - and it felt quite mild (apart from my feet).
Maybe next month...?!
gontothehills, that looks very similar to when i was last up there two weeks ago. It must not get any sun all this time of year. Perhaps todays rain might have helped shift some of it.
It's just so weird - it's a real 'snow choke' and whilst some of it's gone and we're back to the rock / mud with water running down it, other bits must be over 2ft deep in places, and still solid enough to walk on without dropping into it. Like you say - maybe the rain Saturday / sun Sunday combo may have helped...
