Tell you what'd be ideal... A Knog rubber mount, like their mini lights, but with a simple little compass. Nothing fancy, just enough to have an idea what direction I'm going when I'm on a bit of a randomée.
Any recommendations?
Im sure you can get a compass stem cap from somewhere, might be charlie the bike monger?

Wouldn't the ferrous bits of your bike influence the compass reading?
Not much good on a steel bike perhaps?

In that case you have a kjng headset, remove stemcap and admire headset instead, fit the compass above -sorted
wouldn't one of those self levelling compass thingies work better?

I got a compass stem cap with my singletrack subscription... Dun use it can be yours if you make a decent offer 8)
