Ordered a 60a 2.35 HR (upfront) anr a 70a 2.25 advantage for the rear. ive been told already that the advantage is bigger than the high roller but how will they compare in grip. is it still sensible to put the HR on the front or should i change the order before it ships? LT

I run the same combo in summer, but with a 2.1 advantage on the rear. Works for me.

I run an Advantage 2.25 and a HR 2.35 but, I would imagine unlike most, the HR is on the rear; didn’t like the HR on the front and, in fact, not a big fan of the HR at all.

Do you think the fact that the rear is bigger than the front tire really matters?what do the tires behave like in the mud? Im not expecting them to be amazing but as ill be running them year round they still need to be ok in the wet.

There really isn’t an noticeable difference to them sizewise but no, it doesn’t really matter.

They’re alright. So many factors will affect what they behave like from how you ride to what you’re riding on. Tyre choice is a trial and error…my example is a case in point: I don’t really rate HRs but lots swear by them. HR and Advantage is a good combo for many.

I have changed to a Medusa 2.1 on the rear but have kept the 2.35 HR up front. Just love having the corner rail that the HR offers on the front. Not too clever in the mud but the sliding has remained predictable and controllable so far. Medusa is traction tastic.

I know, I don’t normally. Its the first mud tyre I’ve ever bought. Does bite well for climbing through the bog fest that is my local spot. Cheap way to slacken the front without raising the BB as well? Ooh no, thats a whole different thread, sorry.
