Say i wanted to be mummified and buried in a full sized pyramid, excluding land purchase, roughly how much would i need to budget for materials and labour?

real quarried hand finished limestone blocks...or just concrete poured into a pyramid shaped mould?

I reckon that would make a difference

What you using for labour? Might be cheaper to employ a load of armed thugs and round up a few slaves.

What the "appearance" fee on Grand Designs these days? Might go some way to offsetting the build?

(although, possibly not enough "glass frontage" to get Kevin excited?)

The health and safety alone would cripple the budget. How many crane lifts?

Labour should be cheap, lots of unemployed Egyptians available!

How many limestone blocks can you fit in to the back of a C3 Picasso?

Heaviest blocks were only 50t which is barely even critical lift. Lot of them mind. Probably get away with something like a CC8800 on one end for the heavy stuff and a load of tower cranes around the edge. When it got too high, switch to the luffer on the 88 and get the top blocks in place. Scaffolding would be your big problem.

Why would you use scaffolding?

How about you just get some blokes towing caravans to give you a quote?

😉

if it was going to be built up here in Edinburgh you'd have to budget for a 200% overspend not to mention corporate disagreements and widespread disruption for no real meaningful result!

These days it would be called the "Wonga Pyramid" or something like it!
