I assume there must be loads of you with them! How heavy actually are the latest frames? not just what SC say! What sort of weight do they end up built for trail spec? Thanks!
Mick

Latest weighing of my Heckler has come in at 26.5 lbs - didn't weigh the frame on its own sorry!

Thats not bad, thought they may come in slightly more than that. Is it built with normalish kit? what size frame? I've got a hemlock (26.6lb) at the moment, but now its fully finished i'm thinking of the next project! I get bored easy!!

Considering I am running XT Wheelset & Pikes its not bad, I could easily shift a bit more if I changed them, but I like the look of the bike at the moment so no changes planned yet!! 🙂 The rest of the bike I suppose you could say 'normal', here's some pics....

Your not doing my wallet any favours! That looks great! You could easily loose another .8lb or so by changing the wheels, i just changed from the same XT wheels and did, but they are pretty bombproof!

The wallet....NO! But don't tell the missus! Yeah, the wheels are on the heavy side but I'm off to California for some single track in a few months, so going to keep hold of them until after then, as I'm told they will take a bit of a hammering over there!!

I should add this is my 3rd Heckler and I absolutely love em!!

Problem is the anodised frames are an extra £150, but look so much better than the painted ones, i'd only regret it in the end if i went for painted i suppose! Thanks for the info!

I would have gone for a 5.5 that you were thinking about. I am Intense biased though!

About 35lbs, but its a budget-conscious build with no particular thought to saving weight. Coil 426 Pikes, DHX5 coil, WTB dual-duty wheelset, RF Atlas cranks.

And it does everything, from 4hr singletrack rides to days on Whistler bike park black runs. It could really do with a Lyric/Fox 36 upgrade though...

My departed 06 came in at 36lbs. It wasn't a light build by any means but I'm sure I couldn't have lost 10lbs from it.

I always thought mine will weigh about 29-30lbs, will have to pick it up & jump on the scales for a rough idea!
