So the valve on my rear wheel snapped off, leaving me the ability only to let air out unless I use some pin to push down when attaching pump,

Looked into it and it appears I can replace the core???

Can this be done without taking the tyre off?

Grip the two little flat bits just below where it snapped and unscrew
Then just replace with a new after getting a shook at the price

You’ll need one of these: Valve

There is a core remover tool but needle nose pliers work just as well. Core is less at £2 if I recall. No need to take tyre off. You can squirt sealant in through the hole with a plastic bottle with a pointy end too, should you need to.

Take the wheel to your local tyre place with a ‘packetofbiscuitsinlieuofpayment’TM and they’ll have the tool and a million and one perfectly servicable valve cores in their bin!
