Need to replace my Stans flow mk3 rim as its cracked between the spoke holes

Have decided on some Hope Fortus 30 rims which ill build into my Hope Pro 4 hubs

According to Hope the Fortus rim is available to order from your dealer as of the 22/05 yet no where seems to list them online yet as rim only

Anyone seen them online as rim only?

Why not get your local dealer to order you some?

Well as nobody is listing them online, how about the crazy idea of paying rrp and helping your local dealer actually stay in business?

I don't think Hope have ever sold rims separately so they might not be planning to. Also, check the weight. The new 30mm Fortus is their DH rim as they've decided to beef it up with internal material.

Second from bottom here;

how about the crazy idea of paying rrp and helping your local dealer actually stay in business?

LOL! Have you ever worked in a bike shop? Labour rates are already calculated in biscuits.

Nope, they're available to order. 26, 27.5, 29 in 26mm or 30mm. £90 each.

Well, I never knew that. Still though, at 90 quid each I'd go DT Swiss every time.

If the wheel set weights are anything to go by, the Fortus rims aren't light. As above, I'd have the DT 511 at that price.

+2 for DT instead.

Best in the biz vs. heavy & unproven.

The Fortus 35 rims are lighter. The 30 is a downhill rim with extra internal support 'struts' (can't think of the right word).

What would be the DT Swiss equivalent of the Fortus 35?

That. I was told by Hope that the 30 is DH-orientated, but there is possibly a trail/AM/Endoooooro 30mm internal on the way.

Haha! Then the Fortus 30 probably a good choice.

Hope indicated that the lighter 30mm rims won’t appear until the end of the year.
