I will be upgrading to Maxel Lites soon and have a standard QR Hope Pro 2 front hub, what needs to be done and is it a straight forward task? No new hub I hope! Cheers in advance

Sell me your wheels – you'll need a new hub.

Mate had hope hubs, took him nearly a minute to show me how to swap the spacers/ends/whatever to convert from QR to 20mm.
With that kind of hassle I should sell your wheels to Pieface, or me 🙂

Pull out the QR adapters (I think they are just a press-fit on Pro2, can't remember 100% on that though – if they don't a 5mm allen key in each end and unscrew but I think that's a Bulb that does that) and put on the 20mm adapters and hold in place with the spring clips.

2 minute job if the QR adapters come out without a fight and the spring clips don't arc across the kitchen just as they are about to pop into place.

No toold required for existing QR adaptors, should just pop out.
