    I need to convert a CAD file to a jpg and have been trying to do it via pdf. is there a direct way or if not what software is best to use to go from pdf to jpg?

    I can open PDF in paintshop pro, then save as anything?

    No help, but JPG is a terrible choice for converting a line drawing to a bitmap. It'll make it all blurry. You'd be much better off using either PNG, GIF or TIFF.

    Edit: actually they look a bit dodgy. I suggest googling a popular freeware/shareware site for a converter.
