    The real issue here is how Britain bends over backwards (or forwards) to accommodate the will of the devout ones. In contrast they don’t budge an inch (or sing a song) to return the favour. This will go on for years, or maybe decades, until one day we give up on intellectual discussion and revert to instinct.

I thought you were talking about the Devout Ones that insist on an established Church and that there is a Monarch chosen by God to rule over her subjects, and that power and wealth should cascade to her magical offspring, a decision that affects the rights and obligations of everyone in the country .
