Is there such a thing as a reasonably cheap grease gun, fairly small (Handy sized) that you can fill with your own grease and not have to buy tubes or cartridges for? Not worried about it fitting grease nipples or owt, think more of a ‘mess free dispenser’ so I don’t have poke grease into hubs etc with my fingers! 🙂

pace RC7 or one of the many like it … its just a rebadged gun from a mainstream tool manufacturer whos name i cannot remember

be sure to get the one with the loop on the punger – makes good for hanging up mess free.

    dulco are the ones.

bit of a pain to fill if you don’t get the one with the little loop to pull the plunger back out.

    20ml syringe from ebay???
    works for me.

I buy a few at a time, as we use them to give the kids medicine (obviously not exactly the same ones)

I got one of these, you just screw in a tube of lube. Pretty cheap and cheerful. Do syringes work ok with grease ports?

As in the OP, I don’t want one that takes tubes, I want one I can refill. 🙂

I’ve had a few over the Years, and am now settled on the dualco one. It’s excellent.

My Dualco has lasted over 20 years, never missed a beat yet. Great bit of kit.

I’ve got the Weldtite one. Wouldn’t recommend it. It dribbles grease all over the place. Not tried it with grease ports though.

+1 for the Dualco. Not sure how I survived for so long without one.
