Noticed whilst fiddling with my bike that my Rockshox Recon 351 Solo Air 120mm forks had a bit of oil on the stanchions, now the forks have only been ridden 5-6 times and were brand new when i put them on, is this normal part of them bedding in or something wrong. The amount of oil is not huge just a smear on each stanchion enough to make the dust leave little rings of travel marks.

Normal fella, assuming it's only a smear nowt to worry about 😉

just keep an eye on them if your worried, but you'll be worrying about nothing imho

mine do that on my fox float rl`s but Ive had mine for about 2 years now, they started showing oil just recently, but ive also got wear on my stanchions which i need to get sorted so ill prob just sort the whole lot when i book it in for a service

It's healthy, shows the the foam rings are nicely lubricated under the seals. I've just serviced my Rebas and it specifically says to lubricate the foam rings.
