    On top of all the suggestions above… whether bikepacking or mountaineering, I always take cinnamon/raisin bagels (squashed flat), a lump of Parmesan, or other solid cheese and some olives
    Calorie dense and feels like real food. I always look forward to it and use it as a reward for myself

    Breakfast, jumbo oats, dried fruit, salted peanuts, then the master stroke…. horlicks powder. Water poured on last from bottle spout and mix. All measured out for number of days out and carried bulk in ziplocks. If anywhere near a shop, chopped apple or banana turns this into manna!
