Anybody recommend me a folding spade. Fancy one to put in my Camelbak along with folding saw and secatuars for small trail repairs. Seen them from about a tenner to over forty quid for ‘genuine’ NATO ones. Is it worth spending forty quid? Any (ex)army lads got one gathering dust?

I bought one from Lidl a few years back and it broke quite quickly,… but then I was digging clay 🙁

I’m sure the NATO ones are better. But they will be the same size and just as heavy.

I carry a trowel now instead,, smaller and lighter.

I also want a holster for my secateurs, like dirty harry.

I bought one from an Army Surplus this week. Made by Gelert. Not had a chance to wield it in anger yet, but if it breaks i’m safe in the knowledge it only cost £9.
