The reviews go mad for them – are they really that good ?

They don't have a pressure relief channel thingy – anyone got numb nuts from them ?

Nearly went for one but preferred the Spesh Phenom SL (similar price and weight) – I found the feel of a Gobi a bit odd.

Yup, I'd say they are good – but then saddled are a very personal thing. I wasn't happy with it at first but then fiddled around with the angle and it suddenly became one of the most comfortable saddles I've ever had. I have it on the hardtail where the extra comfort is appreciated.

I had one with kium rails. It was like sitting on a house brick. i gave it to my brother and went back to my charge spoon TI.

I have used one for years and for me it is as comfortable as any other saddle I have used. I have never used a saddle with a relief area so can't comment on that. I use an SLR on my road bikes.

But, not sure my bum is particularly sensitive to saddles though. I'm a hard a$se. 😆

Yep they are comfy – i've had various versions of the Gobi over the past 5 years and definitely wouldn't want anything else.

You cant just buy the saddle and expect it to be comfy straight from the box – all of mine have taken a few rides to loosen up (the wing/tail flex really does work)

Loovely comfy saddles, all my bikes have them

I've got a spare one if you want to try one out

Best saddle I've ever had, gradually replacing all mine with them.

They don't do much for me, but one of the mates loves his, like most saddles.

got 3 – aand the road equivalent on 'that' bike as well.
Nothing wrong with numb nuts – not when already got 3 sprogs!

Just released carbon railed version here in Malaysia but 100 quid. Get the ti rails if possible,

    good luck.

I've got 1 on my Heckler, 1 on my Handjob, 1 on my CX… and if I can find a White one, I'll get it for my roadbike…

Swapped from my rocket V to the gobi's and not looking back. I wasn't convinced straight away but stuck with it for a while& now wouldn't think about swapping back.

Saddles though are very personal things, no one can say any one saddle is best, as everyone backside is different!!!

I had one for a couple of months but despite playing around with positioning it kept giving me numbness in the nether regions , gone back to a sdg bel air ( so comfy )

When my Flight fell apart I got one of these, as the colour matched my bike 😯

It's very comfy, I can sit in the saddle all day, and not worry about numb nutts.

    I'd recommend one

I had bel air ti's before the gobi xm, my bum loved bel airs but

If a saddle works you don`t notice it.The Gobi is like that.
Takes a few rides for it to soften up,and for you to adapt then just becomes invisible.

Much more comfy than the Arione on my road bike…..

Mine can make me a bit numb on long rides and the edges are looking tatty. Will go back to a Bel Air when it dies.

I used to use Fizik Gobi XM but I "noticed" it, saying that after this weekends riding I also "noticed" the Bel Air, so it's back to the drawing board for me and saddles.

Trouble with saddles is what works for one person doesn't work for another!!

They are certainly "firm". Mine's comfy though.

i had one, used it for about 30 mins, it was that uncomfortable for me that i rode home to change it and gave it away. good quality, nice flex-edge design, shape's just not for me. i think you're either a concave-top or convex-top fit and the gobi is quite convex.

i get on well with gobi's, but i picked up a gobi xm from here a while back and im less than impressed, the slightly flatter profile doesnt seem to fit quite so well and the rails dont seem to take the sting out as well……

will relegate it to the full suss and stick the ti railed gobi back on the hardtail – it might cost £80 new but worth every penny

Have the carbon rail version on both of my bikes and won't use anything else…. very comfortable….

saddles are a very individual thing mind!
