Hi Singletrackers,
First of all apologies if I am posting in the wrong section 😕

I work for a company which is looking for somebody who is very passionate about mountain biking who would like the opportunity to run their own business in the Austrian resort of Saalbach/Leogang, and I thought I'd join the forum to see if anybody is interested.
Ok, here's the deal; we are a ski company that has an amazing Chalet-hotel that lies dormant in the months from May to October, because the area is very popular with mountain bikers during these months it seemed such a waste.
To cut a long story short we are looking for somebody who would like to take on the chalet and fill beds during this time, and ALL profits would be yours! We could even supply the staff and admin from our offices if needed, you can either live there or run it from the UK it's up to you.
I know what you're thinking.....what's the catch? Well, the rent and running costs would have to paid by yourself, but we would pay half the rent for the first year to help you get started. After the subsidised rent and running costs have been paid all the profit would be yours.
If you're interested or know anybody who would be then PM me and I'll get back to you with more information. Thanks guys 🙂

Perhaps I should mention that we will source the staff if you need them and not supply them. You wouldn't need any staff if you were going to run it yourself though 🙂

Hey Leogang,

You should contact Rob at Mountain Edge. He's already running a pretty successful operation down the road in Kitzbuhel. It might be something he could help you out with, if he's not interested himself. his email is "rob AT mountainedge.co.uk"

Ian - of course - still waiting for the information though.

Maybe we can set up a STW timeshare on the place... a semi serious suggestion!

Sorry about the delay guys i'll get the stuff over to you now, if you want to take it any further then there are contact details at the end where you can speak to the owner.
I just though i'd mention at this stage that the rent will have to be paid up front, I don't want to mislead you in any way, we want the people who take this on to be serious about making this a successful business venture and we feel that this would weed out the people who just want to live in Austria on the cheap.

I've been there 5 times in the last 5 years. 2 skiing and 3 biking. The first time I went the x line hadn't been built yet! Already have a trip or two booked for next summer! Where exactly is the chalet?

Hi Leogang

Could you email me over the details please. It might be something to consider for when it gets too hot in the Spanish mountains... Cheers, Mark.
