Following on from the cover title of this month's mag i decided to get out and do my first solo night ride of the winter.

The cobbles and rocks are like oiled glass, the mud is horribly deep and the rest of the trails are under water.

16.5 miles, 1400ft ascent, average speed 8.8mph 2hrs door to door in the pissing rain and wind.

    Brilliant, absolutely bloody brilliant! 8)

I really, really needed that, and being able to have a hot shower from my new boiler when i got home was the icing on the cake 🙂

I thought this was to be a thread about hugging policemen.

I'll let my g/f do that – she has a disturbing fetish for uniformed men… 😯

    Well done

TBH I'm struggling to be arsed recently….it's cold, wet, windy, dark and miserable: no thanks!

I suspect the washing machine will be on overtime tomorrow!

Nuke, it is but it can be fun.

Cleaning the damn thing afterwards is another matter, fortunately the rain washed it clean on the ride home!
