I’m surprised so many people are happy with the cost. Even at the lower end, it seems to be an extra 2k to add the 250w motor/630wh battery.

I am not bothered about the cost as I won’t ever be buying one and if they were priced at a level where nobody bought them I guess they would all be in sales and manufacturers would stop making them. The opposite seems to be happening from what I can see.

Why not add £2K on for R&D, parts, warranty etc,.

I think the reason ebikes are so expensive at present is you are paying for the warranty upfront, the high number of replacement motors is priced into the bikes. My shimano motor needed replacing after about 18 months. What puts me off buying another is once the motor(shimano) is out of warranty and breaks it cannot be repaired, its landfill not very sustainable and bloody expensive.

I just picked up my new Focus Jam2 yesterday. If £/KG is an indication of value it sure is excellent …..

You can’t even ride a watch down a trail. Madness.

Well, you kinda can with the new Levo.
