Is there a routine for cleaning the jets?

As per druidh oldfart, clean the print heads and try again. Are you using cheap or good paper? I’ve got a good Epson and found in the past that if I used cheap paper the prints were poor.

Our son set it up and i checked with him he did the cleaning bit a and this is the first time it’s been used for photos so shouldn’t need doing ?Using Epson paper as well so that should be ok .Might pop in the photo shop in town tomorrow and see what he has to say .

There should be a nozzle test pattern you can print out, make sure it’s firing on all cylinders.

You’re printing in “photo” mode rather than draft, yes?

Go the the tools menu on your printer and run the cartridge alignment tool, as well as the ink test. Make sure you are using good quality photo paper and when you go to print make sure you tick the box for highest quality
