Want to upgrade to 140mm trail bike and have narrowed down to Meta 5.5 or Zesty. Any thoughts on which? I'm a short-arse, so standover is an issue - preferably standover of 28". Any thoughts on sizing welcome

Both lovely bikes but the lapierre looks nicer and I've never heard of the frames cracking.

I have test ridden both and bought a zesty. The reason i went for the zesty is it pedals superbly and doesn't feel like a disadvantage on the up hills and I reach my limits on the downs a long way before it does.

The commencal was a good bike too but was too much of a compromise on the up hills for my liking.

The sizing is on the large size, I am 6 foot and ride a medium and the standover is quite snug. Would recommend a test ride if you can get one.
If you are any where near Leeds cross trax have a demo zesty, they used to have a demo meta 5 too, but not sure if they still do.
