Decided to downsize the car so want to tidy it up before selling, got some light surface scratches to the front bumper that is just a tad more than what one of those home repair kits can deal with (filling/rubbing paste) and a heavier knock to the rear bumper which has cracked the paint where the bumper has flexed.

Looking at Chips Away website they can deal with this sort of thing, before I ring them for a quote is there anyone else I should consider? Obviously cheaper is better if the end result is the same 🙂 Also, what is an 'average' price for a Chips Away repair, am I looking at £50 or £150?

i paid 100 for a small chip which needed filling, and then 130 for another large scrape over 2 panels which also needed some filling(both chips away). I think its about 100 minimum with chips away.

    Perfect results both times though.

Try halfords as well, they do it i think

chips away handy though as they came to my work

I used Chips Away and I though they were great. When I did it it cost £90 for the first scratch (depends on the depth of the scratch) and then £60 for any subsequent scratches not necessarily on the same car so check with collegues or neighbours if they have any that needs doing. He came to my house and also took out some buckles while he was at it for free. Great service.

Just booked the car in with Chips Away, £138 for the rear bumper but was a phoned quote based on my description, but he said if its more its only like to be £10 or £20.

Front scratch he will try and polish out, if paint required it'll be £65ish.

    Thanks 🙂
