"Charge 29er forks" on eBay – are they any good?

Has anybody bought these forks?
I’m after some “rigids” for my bike, they seem to be quite nice and cheap 🙄

1.3kg ain’t that light though is it ? I think my cheap Reba’s are 1800g

I was looking at them the other day – look loooong.

They are über long – corrected for 120/130mm travel IRRC

They are longer than a Krampus fork, Salsa grade cromoto etc.

I guess it depends what your putting them on.

If the frame was designed around 100mm travel max I would look elsewhere – but thats just me.

I bought some a couple of months ago. They’re great, comfier than the Kona Project 2 26er’s I’ve previously had and a lot less twangy under braking. Good direct steering too.

They are 511mm axle to crown so relatively long, but they work great on my inbred SS. They are roughly equivalent to a sagged 120mm 29er fork or an unsagged 100mm.

As rigid steel forks go they are as good as any out there.

put them on a commuter/gravel for my son as said long and not light but work well.

So it looks that they work OK 🙂

They would go on 100mm bike: general MTB and commuting duties (which big part is MTB anyway!).

I got a pair a couple of months ago for my inbred. Yes, they’re heavy because of the steel steerer, but they are nice and compliant without being noodly. I like the slack geo they make, and they make a nice ride. Fantastic value too.
